Life Of A Student

University - Year Two…

…starts tomorrow. I won’t pretend I’m not nervous!

So I’m back in Exeter…

…and have been for almost a week now. But still I have no Internet. I’m having to use the University library’s computers, which are ridiculously slow. Hopefully I’ll be properly online soon.

I have a long journey back to University tomorrow. I won’t be online for a few weeks. Goodbye for a little while, peace out X

onehundred-ways-2-live:

Well today was our last shopping spree, well, second to last I believe for student things. It’s a very expensive business this whole Uni thing. Yeeeshk.

Anyway, money and spendign too much and lack of it and broke-ness is much too depressing, so let’s just get to the fun bit!

My new Uni clothes…

So I’m currently packing my stuff for Uni. And my new house doesn’t have Internet yet. So I may not be able to post for a week or so. I’m sorry!

New Stuff!

Every year, when the time rolls round to return to university, it seems that none of the previous years’ stuff is still around. Chances are the bed will be a different size (I’m in a single this year but I don’t mind because my partner has a double in the same house), so although I’ll still take me lovely warm double duvet, I need single sheets. And of course I’ll need to take some food with me, and toiletries. Exeter may seem like a city, but compared to Birmingham, it’s tiny. And for some reason I feel like I need some new clothes. I’ve just had to ask my mum to buy me a new phone (she says it’s my early xmas present) because my latest one broke. Student life is hard on mobile/cell phones!

Anyway, I tagged along on the weekly supermarket trip this week, to see what I could add to the trolly. Being a poor, unemployed student, after all. And my mum was in a great mood today, so I managed to get:

- all my basic toiletries

- printer paper & notepad paper

- coffee (a student staple!)

- new sheets for my bed

I’m really pleased by this. And I also have the new phone! It’s a Nokia 2730 Classic. My 3rd Nokia this year. I hope it lasts!

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for – in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it. (Ellen Goodman)

ivorycrayon asked: It's gonna be a pleasure to follow your blog :)

What's your major?

Thanks XD

My major is Animal Behaviour - an unusual subject but one which I felt was perfect for me. I also study a few Psychology, Biology, German, and Stats modules.

Oh and I also make patterns on the roof of my mouth when I’m bored! I draw pictures of stuff. Aaaand I’m totally reblogging that quotation :)

This is a photo of my new house, taken from Google Street View. I’ve edited out the house number, for security etc. As you can see, it’s a basic terraced house. There’s a 3rd floor with a dormer window to the front and to the back. The back bedroom on that top floor is my room :)

I’ll probably take some better photos when I move down in a week or so.

thispandemonium asked: You sound remotely familiar :) Do I know you?

Possibly… I don’t think so though. I do have another Tumblr but I don’t think you follow me. I just liked your blog :)
